Bed had been stored in a barn for decades and subject to at least one tornado. Multiple layers of paint were in total failure. Rust was emerging everywhere, and the side rails were missing.
Remove, clean, polish and lacquer brass ornaments. Straighten iron struts as possible. Sand blast and powder coat frame. Adapt production box spring frame to head and foot boards to accept standard twin bedding.
