Mounted eagle's head bore heavy accretions of soot, dust and grime having been stored in an area more appropriate to vintage wine. Surface corrosion and grime removed mechanically followed by chemical darkening, then patina and wax treatments. Wood mount was cleaned, compounded and waxed.
