This is a housing for an electric clock, made of a poor quality zinc die cast. The copperplated casing was cracked and covered in several coats of gold radiator paint. Paint was removed with solvent. Metal was cleaned, surfaced, prepped and copperplated, then antiqued and coated with removable spirit lacquer.
