These gilded ormolu urns were presented for cleaning, and lacked luster. Centuries of cleaning had simply worn the gold away from the flat surfaces of the bases, and from the textured bowls forming the upper half. Not all parts needed regilding. Affected areas were appropriately prepared for plating in 24K gold. After toning and finishing all parts match original 18th century presentation.
